Hiking
Take a walk up to iconic Barrenjoey lighthouse with its spectacular views of Pittwater and the Central Coast, or discover the little-known Bangalley Headland
Beach Time
Spend the morning relaxing at the beautiful Palm or Whale Beach and rockpool hop with the little ones - we have beach gear including umbrellas, tents, chairs, and boogie boards for your use.
Paddleboarding
Crane Lodge has 2 stand up paddle-boards as well as car soft pads to strap to your vehicle - enabling you to venture out to multiple amazing locations either with or without surf
Lunch out
Book lunch out at one of our wonderful local restaurants Barrenjoey House and Casa by the Boathouse in Palm Beach, Bert’s at Merivale’s Newport, or at another of the Newport’s many outdoor kiosks overlooking the water, often with live music, Clareville Kiosk at Clareville Beach Jonah’s at Whale Beach, and Bar Elvina or Alma in Avalon.
Treetop Yoga
With yoga mats + blocks for your morning or sunset asanas.
Firepit
Light up the fire under the Port Jackson fig tree and share stories and laughter on your adventures of the day.

SUP Tours
Avalon Sup will take you on a one-hour guided paddleboard tour of the Clareville and Palm Beach inlets from Clareville Beach.
Ferry to Patonga Beach
Take the Boathouse Ferry across to Patonga Beach from Palm Beach wharf for a relaxed pub lunch overlooking the Hawkesbury River from the Central Coast side.
Ferry to Pittwater beaches
Take the Fantasea Ferry to the Basin or Great Mackeral Beach, or their route that circumnavigates Pittwater.
Shellar Door
Operated by third-generation pearl farmers, Broken Bay Pearl Farm is NSW's only pearl farm. Take the ferry across to the Central Coast, and you can join a tour from either Killcare or Woy Woy out to their oyster leases in the lower Hawkesbury, learn about Indigenous pearling and if conditions are right, witness live harvesting of the rare Akoya pearl.
Kayaking Tours
Kayaking on Sydney's Pittwater at sunrise is something everyone should experience. Departing at first light, you will get to enjoy the tranquility of how quiet and calm it is on magnificent Pittwater.

Learn to Surf at Palm Beach, or brush up on your skills with a private class.
Sailing
Sail Pittwater in one of Australia’s classic vintage teak icon of the water, the Halvorsen boat. The beautiful MV Kalinda can take up to 20 passengers with a minimum cruise time of 3 hours. Or book her just for a romantic date for two, proposals optional.
Taylor Made Escapes also offers skippered tours on their French yacht, starting from 2 hours up to full day experiences of Pittwater, with on board catering including seafood platters and champagne to boot.
Rent a Tinny for the Day
Drive down to Church Point, have lunch at the Kiosk over the water, and rent a tinny for a little sojourn over to Lovett, Elvina or Morning Bay. There’s a beautiful waterfall to find in Lovett Bay too.
First Nations cultural experiences
Adam and Clarence from Bush to Bowl offer experiences with a focus on Bush Foods (Bush Tucker). After a smoking ceremony, gain insight into Aboriginal values and beliefs system about Country, enjoy typical Bush Foods like damper cooked on anopen fire, or take a longer walk on Country. Two hour, half and full day options available.
Take a walk on Country at Crane Lodge with elder Uncle Laurie Bimson from Guringai Tours, including a cultural talk for either children or adults + workshops and smoking ceremony.
Uncle Laurie also offers a walking tour to view some of the best Aboriginal artworks in the Sydney region on the Kur-ring-gai National Park via the Basin trail – this can be combined with reverse walk in from the Basin ferry terminal, inclusive of a 10 min ferry across Pittwater from the Palm Beach ferry wharf, and a car service or mini-bus on other side to return guests to Crane Lodge.
